Collegetown II

Constructed on the heels of CollegeTown Phase I, Phase II provided a much needed urban edge along Madison Street, directly north of the Phase I development. It provides approximately 22,000 sf of restaurant and retail space and approximately 120,000 sf of two and three bedroom student housing apartments. Each apartment has its own kitchen and laundry rooms as well as a dedicated hot water heater and HVAC DX unit. Each bedroom is provided its own bathroom, in all unit types.

The complex is enclosed by a two story high “Beer Garden” on the corner of Madison Street and Woodward Avenue. Covered decks, complete with ceiling mounted fans, will provide shade from the Florida sun and allow patrons to overlook activities along both Madison Street and Woodward Avenue.

Construction includes concrete slab on grade, for the first floor, and steel frame and poured concrete decks, on upper levels. Exterior windows and doors are aluminum. Elevator and stair towers were constructed of poured in place concrete and/or concrete masonry units. EIFS and brick veneer finish systems are used to sheath the exterior walls. Rigid insulation over metal deck with modified bitumen membrane roofing complete the exterior package. Drywall and insulation and steel studs are used for interior partitioning. Granite counter tops are featured on kitchen cabinets and center islands.
