FSU Kuersteiner Studio

The College of Music at Florida State University proposes the renovation of an existing 1,800-square-foot classroom into a state-of-the-art Dolby Atmos Studio and Recording Classroom. The project will transform underutilized space into a high-performance immersive audio facility supporting instruction, recording, and research in spatial audio technologies.

The renovation responds to the evolving needs of music and media education by providing students and faculty with access to industry-standard immersive audio environments. Architectural, acoustic, technical, and electrical upgrades will be implemented to support a professional-grade Dolby Atmos studio and a flexible recording classroom aligned with contemporary creative industry standards.
