Maclay AI and Robotics Building

To accommodate a growing student population, this project required four new mathematics classrooms and an Ai Lab to be squeezed into a linear site with minimal building area. A cost-effective pre-engineered metal building system as well as sustainable features including reflective standing seam metal roofing, low-E glazing, efficient HVAC and plumbing systems and LED lighting, all serve to mitigate costs and enhance energy performance. An existing stormwater ditch was transformed into a linear bioswale, promoting ecological awareness with campus design. A wooden bridge spanning the bioswale, shaded seating, and a site integrated water feature provide experiential site elements that promote a relaxed, calming environment.
